It’s a Wrap!
What a great quilt show. The quilts were stunning, and our guild booth was the cutest of all booths at the show! Also, thank you for supporting the vendors. The money we all spend helps the Expo retain them and get more and better vendors each year. I know three of us that triple handedly supported The Stitch House big time!
Our guild was well represented, thank-you to all who entered their quilts. All the quilts were spectacular, so the competition in our judged show was stiff. If you didn’t get a ribbon, know your quilt touched and inspired those who saw it. I was randomly talking to a newbie quilter in a store and asked her if she’d gone to the show. She had, and pulled up her favorite quilt. It wasn’t a ribbon winner. She went on to say how one of the elements in it inspired her to make make a family member a quilt. So there you go!
Here is the Winners List:
If you didn’t get a chance to go to the show, our Historian, Beth Rhodes took pictures of our guild member’s quilts. They are on our Facebook page Trinity Valley Quilters’ Guild and will be on here under the Photo’s Icon on the Home page soon. You know how she loves to take pictures, so hopefully there will be other quilts on there too.
Also, a big THANK YOU to all who volunteered, including my partner, Joyce Erwin, and our Show Booth Chair, Sharon Gunnels. Goodness, it seems to get harder every year to get those quilts hung! I always say it takes a village to make one of these shows happen. So, thanks to all you “tvqgians ” and husbands, who came out to help.
While I don’t have all the figures in yet, here’s the show by the numbers! You can do the math, but I think we made almost $6,000 profit, not including the Scholarship money earned from the Silent Auction!
